The Wedding
I am so excited to be sharing Julie and Richie’s wedding on the blog today! Can you believe they have already been Mr. and Mrs. Dierker for TWO WEEKS?! Where has the time gone?! They navigated several last minute changes smoothly, and created the most beautiful fall wedding. Their wedding had hay bales and pumpkins, fall scented candles (which smelled AMAZING) and pencils made of bark, they even had a full hot chocolate bar! It was simply perfect.
The Family
Their wedding was extra special as they had their children as a part of their bridal party. Mike was a junior groomsman, and Havianna was a junior bridesmaid both of which rocked their wedding duties! Havianna helped Julie get ready for her big day, and walked her down the aisle to give her away to Richie. But, she wasn’t really giving anything away, she instead was gaining a whole family. The four of them poured sand into a vase as a symbol of the structure and strength of the family they are creating when the knot is tied. They also shared dances with the kids to embrace the new father-daughter and mother-son rolls they have taken on.
The Party
The dancing didn’t end there! Julie and Richie also felt it was important to share a dance with their whole bridal party. They wanted to honor their “gang” and thank them for standing by their side on their big day. They followed that up with an anniversary dance during which they learned which of the couples had been married the longest and pulled them in to a fun game, the shoe game! Each couple sat back to back for and blindly raised a shoe to answer each statement the best, who is guilty of the statement – him or her?! The last dance they planned was the Apron dance which opened up the dance floor and allowed the newlyweds to dance with as many of their guests as possible.
Good Luck!
The rain held out for most of their wedding day leaving them with beautiful, brisk fall weather. But, the skies opened up just enough to give them some rainy good luck. We also had the chance to play in the rain while capturing an image of all of the rain drops lit up around the happy couple. Congratulations on your marriage, and the best of wishes for all of your happiest years to come!
