They Met

Rebecca and Adam met on a blind date at Starbucks. They hit it off quickly and chatted for hours over coffee. Rebecca’s sister did what big sisters do and warned her of all the possible outcomes of meeting someone whom you don’t know; and as she stated in her speech, told rebecca to ‘not give him your real phone number’. According to Rebecca’s side of the story she must have bypassed this advice because Adam texted Rebecca following the date asking her for a second one. From there it sounds like the rest was history!

Penelope

Not long after moving in together, Rebecca and Adam adopted their ADORABLE kitty, Penelope. As many people mentioned to me on their wedding day, Penelope LOVES her Rebecca…something her and Adam have in common. So of course she had to be a part of of their proposal story. Adam put the ring on Penelope’s collar. As Rebecca described the proposal: “When I came home from work I picked her up and was in shock. Adam went chasing after her to get the ring and propose.”

The Wedding

The week leading up to the Zimmerman wedding I was checking the weather constantly hoping the rain would clear. According to all of the sites I checked – they were going to have a rainy wedding day…. but the universe had a different forecast. Rebecca made the call to move the ceremony into the barn after seeing the probability of rain… but as a shock to us all they didn’t get a single drop! The move into the barn ended up being the best choice either way as it was the cooler alternative to the humid sun. Rebecca came prepared for any situation with her heels as well as her cowgirl boots just incase she was to be married in the mud. Their wedding day was full of happy tears, sunshine, so much laughter, delicious food – especially shrimp cocktail in memory of Rebecca’s grandmother, and of course pure LOVE. Also check out their super fun and unique wedding favors…who doesn’t love a scratch off!? Rumor has it – ever since Rebecca came into the picture she wins all of the scratch-offs and Adam’s are all busts.
