The Wedding Day
Brittni and Derek enjoyed the company of their family and friends May 11th at Eastern Yacht Club. Despite the threat of bad weather the whole week before their wedding, and the test of a few pre-ceremony sprinkles…they ended up with a absolutely perfect day! The rain made an appearance just in time to capture a few night photos in the rain – which made me happy cause I love lighting up some rain drops.
All of Brittni’s wedding day details were full of sparkle and shine. I can’t get enough of her comfy wedding shoes that were glittered top to bottom. They paired perfectly with her princess dress which was covered with a ton of beautiful lace and beading. Derek opted for a simpler yet equally stylish wedding look. Choosing to leave the jacket behind and let all of the details do the talking such as the blue tie, suspenders, and beautiful boutonniere.
Happy tears were definitely a key component to their wedding day. I loved watching Brittni tear up with love while reading Derek’s wedding day letter, but she wasn’t the only one. Derek tried to choke back a few tears as he watched his bride walk down the aisle, her bridesmaids on the other hand let it all out as they embraced the moment they gave their sister & best friend away to be his wife. Parent’s of the bride and groom weren’t able to hold back the tears either. Derek’s mother pinned his boutonniere on with tear filled eyes while managing not to poke him….His brother Barry wasn’t quite as lucky when it was his turn to be pinned. And of course there was the sweet moment where Brittni wiped her father’s tears as they shared their father daughter dance together.
In between all of the happy tears was a lot of laughter. A few of those many moments are shared via the photos below. The garter placement by Brittni’s sister, an unfortunate ‘tap’ to the best man during groomsmen photos, cake smashing, and more!
Enjoy this quick peek into the wedding day of the new Mr & Mrs. Hamilton.
Congratulations!
