The Couple

I didn’t get to meet Lauren and Thomas until their wedding day, but when I met them it felt as if I had already known them for years. Lauren was so sweet – when I walked into the farmhouse her and her bridesmaids were huddled at the window watching her florist carry the flowers into the reception and aweing at their beauty. Lauren was calm, cool, and collected the whole day; she seemed to really soak up every moment and embrace it. Thomas was so sweet and polite. He didn’t grumble (that I could hear) anytime I said ‘just one more photo’ even though it would end up being more like six, and was so appreciative. I loved seeing how much he adored her, and of course seeing him break down in happy tears as she walked down the aisle. Witnessing their love for eachother really allowed you to feel it within your own heart.

The Wedding

It was a hot september day (yes I said hot in September – it didn’t feel much like fall), but a beautiful day nonetheless! Lauren & Thomas had a beautiful afternoon wedding at Stone Ridge Hollow just a few days before the official start of fall. They tied in beautiful fall colors in both dresses and decor, as well as had sunflowers and mums everywhere you turned. Their florals were to die for, especially Lauren’s cascading bouquet. Lauren and Thomas had a wedding that overflowed with positive emotion. Her brother shed tears of happiness as he saw lauren at their first look – a first look he waited very patiently for as all the bridesmaids had their first look prior to his. As he escorted her down the aisle, her maid of honor, Julie, was happy sobbing. It was the cutest thing, a lifetime bestie so happy that she just couldn’t hold back. And of course – Thomas breaking down as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time, and wiping his tears with Lauren’s hands throughout the ceremony. I absolutely loved that Lauren’s dad was so present in their wedding day, even as he was attending from the above the clouds. Lauren wore a bracelet her father gave to her mother, and he had a seat set at the ceremony and reception decorated for him. His reception chair was even turned to watch over Lauren’s dance with her brother, a dance which left no dry eyes in the room. After their waterfront ceremony overlooking the farm, they partied the night away with friends and family, had an amazing cake smash, tore up the dance floor, and laughed endlessly.
