The Wedding

The Hubbard’s had an absolutely perfect fall wedding day. They tied the knot (and the lasso) at Linganore Winery overlooking rolling hills covered in vines. After sealing it with a kiss – and being tackled by their pup, they met their friends and family at a farm down the street. They laughed the night away surrounded by family, friends, pups, goats, and even some geese – I mean, does it get any better than that?!

The Love Story

Matt & I met a little over 6 years ago at a bar that we both worked at – he was the manager, I was a hostess and we were both in different relationships at that time. We quickly became good friends through work, but we eventually went our separate ways. About a year later, Matt reached out to me for some help with marketing on his real estate business and I was so excited about the opportunity. We picked up right where we had left off and realized there was clearly more than just friendship between us. After a few months, we finally started dating… woohoo! A year into our relationship we decided to get Tucker who ended up being the perfect addition to our little family. Throughout the next 3.5 years, we went on adventures, started a business, watched our friends get married, learned so much about each other. and continued to love unconditionally through all the ups and downs.

On November 16th, 2019 Matt finally asked me to marry him. Earlier that day, I had gone to my best friend’s bridal shower and was completely dolled up. While I was gone Matt went over to my dad’s house to ask for his blessing. Matt’s original plan was to propose the following day in Annapolis, but when I got home he just couldn’t help himself. He proposed to me in the middle of our kitchen while I was dancing around about to feed Tucker. Matt got down on one knee and said “BOOM! Will you marry me?” He then followed that with the beautiful speech he had planned but our families joke that he was so nervous that his mind went completely blank and all he could think to say was a sound effect.

The past 11 months of planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic have gifted us with every emotion possible. We’ve grown immensely as a couple, have loved & laughed through it all, and came to realize that nothing matters more than starting our wonderful life together.
