Jordan & Matt
Catoctin Hall Musket Ridge Summer Wedding

From the couple:

We chose our venue because it is absolutely gorgeous, and the sunset photos online were some of the prettiest we had even seen. We are also from Maryland as is most of our family, so we wanted a venue that was convenient for most of our guests. Matt also loves golf, but sometimes golf doesn’t love Matt. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses, and the groomsmen wore navy suits. Our flowers had blue accents, my favorite being the hydrangeas and delphinium. Our bar sign was my personal favorite touch because it had a picture of our dog Laney on it.
Our number 1 priority at our wedding was to have fun. My favorite part of the wedding was seeing everyone I love on the dance floor all night. I lost an eyelash during “Mr. Brightside” because we were dancing so hard, which was worth it. Our best friend from college also officiated our wedding, and he did a fantastic job. He told first hand stories as well as some from our families. We have been together a long time so there was a lot of material to get through.
Advice: Ask your vendors for recommendations. Most of them have worked with many different people, so they know who is reliable. Also, your guests feed off your energy. If you are on the dance floor having a blast all night, they will be too. Don’t let little things bother you, focus on having the best night and everyone else will do the same.
